Club Bassendean is a place where older people can come to socialise and take part in activities.
We encourage everyone to join in with what’s happening on the day, but if they prefer to simply take it easy, they are welcome to do so. We understand that people living in their own homes can easily become socially isolated, so we provide social interaction in the centre and in the community. We cater our activities to the interests of our clients.
Club Bassendean is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 2.30pm, however, our clubs are staffed between 8.00am to 4.00pm for your convenience. We can arrange transport to and from the club, and we provide lunch (at a cost) and morning tea. Whilst the club is not a dementia-specific club, we can cater for clients with dementia.
Club Bassendean clients and families have easy access to our dementia-specific services, including overnight respite care and the McCusker Nurse North Service. You can read more about these services in the Dementia Care section of this website.
