Home Overview

Our residents enjoy light and airy suites, offering delightful views from the balcony or garden access. Each suite has a comfortable sitting room with a kitchenette, a separate bedroom with a private ensuite, and amenities like reverse cycle air conditioning and overhead fans.

A leisurely stroll through our beautifully landscaped gardens is a beautiful experience. Residents and family can enjoy the well tended flowers and veggies, explore the unique two-storey atrium filled with shrubs and ferns, and let visiting grandchildren have a great time in our play area.

Inside, residents seeking entertainment and socialisation can choose from a variety of inviting spaces. We offer two spacious lounge rooms, two airy dining/community rooms, and two smaller but equally comfortable sitting rooms with a cosy fireplace to keep warm during winter.

For even more enjoyment, our retreat rooms provide a delightful setting with games, a TV, and a knitting corner, perfect for family gatherings and relaxation. We also have our infamous Black Swan Pub at Moline, a lively space where residents can socialise and enjoy a refreshing drink.

To ensure our residents stay active and connected, we also provide a hair salon, mini mart, therapy room, and a carefully curated calendar of social activities and outings.

Residential Care can be a bit complicated.

Pricing involves a Basic Daily Fee, a Comfort Package Daily Fee, plus if applicable, an accommodation payment and means-tested care fee.

We have provided explanations here and even a calculator to help you work out what your fees are likely to be; however if you need further assistance please contact our Customer Service Centre and one of our experienced team members will be happy help you.

The Basic Daily Fee

The Means-Tested Care Fee

This is an additional contribution towards the cost of care that some people may be required to pay. This fee is determined by Services Australia and is based on the amount of income and assets of the resident.

Each person entering a care centre must complete the Centrelink form SA454.1407 “Permanent Residential Aged Care Request for a Combined Asset and Income Assessment” to have their means-tested care fee determined by Centrelink.

The Accommodation Payment

This is for your accommodation in the care centre. Some people will have their accommodation costs met in full or part by the Australian Government, while others will need to pay the accommodation payment. Services Australia (Centrelink) will advise you which fee applies to you based on an assessment of your income and assets. Depending on your financial situation, you may be asked to pay the full Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or part of that deposit, referred to as a Refundable Accommodation Contribution (RAC).

An alternative to paying the RAD or RAC is paying the interest that Amana Living are eligible to charge on the RAD or RAC. This interest payment is referred to as the Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or the Daily Accommodation Contribution (DAC).

Another alternative is to pay part of the RAD or RAC and pay the interest on the balance owing as a DAP or DAC. Below is a calculator to show you different combinations of RAD/DAP for different room types at this care centre.
