WA Aged Care Learning & Development Network
The WA Aged Care Learning & Development Network provides a forum for educational innovation and improvement in the WA aged care sector. The network was co-founded in late 2016 and consisted of five aged care providers, including Amana Living.
Over the last three years, membership has grown to include over 30 members who represent 16 aged care service providers in WA. Coordinated by a team of four, the network meets quarterly and features a range of guest speakers.
This initiative provides opportunities for cross-sector educational leadership and improves the lives of older people through championing innovation and continuous improvement in learning and development practice.
Amana Living hosted the last meeting on the 5th of August with guest speakers including; Fiona Andreas, Community Services, Health and Education Training Council; Dr Andrew Stafford, Dementia Training Australia; and Jodie Ferguson, Jodie Ferguson & Associates.
