The Commonwealth Government established a Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety in October 2018.

The Royal Commission is exploring aged care quality standards and how the aged care system can evolve to meet the growing and changing needs of Australia’s older population.

Currently, the Royal Commission is conducting hearings and community forums across Australia before it will publish an interim report in October 2019, followed by a final report in April 2020.

Amana Living welcomes the Royal Commission’s attention on improving aged care because it is important that Australia has a high quality system going into the future.

In the meantime, Amana Living’s focus is to continue to provide high quality care and support for the people who choose us as their provider.
