The Department of Health has appointed Amana Living to take over the delivery of Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services, currently provided by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Amana Living has been a part of the Goldfields community for more than 40 years; in the 1980s we established Muschamp Village and Edward Collick Home and we began delivering Home Care services in 2009 throughout the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

CHSP clients will be able to attend the Amana Living day club at the Eastern Goldfields Community Centre, and receive a range of CHSP services including transport, meals, domestic assistance, and personal care.

The city council currently offers some services for older Kalgoorlie-Boulder residents that are not a part of the CHSP. As the services we can offer as a part of the CHSP are determined by the Commonwealth, the council can choose to continue to run these services.

As the city has announced it is ending its Meals on Wheels service, we have chosen to offer our meal delivery service to anyone who would like to receive it. To minimise the change, we will be providing nutritionally balanced meals made from fresh ingredients in a similar way to the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. For a comparison on the food service offered by City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and Amana Living, see below.

Amana Living has a team of professionally trained, naturally kind people delivering home and residential care in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. To meet projected demand for our services in the region, we are actively recruiting people who are kind and caring, and are interested in training in aged care, no matter their current role.

Older Kalgoorlie-Boulder residents who have not been assessed for CHSP eligibility, can apply via the My Aged Care website or by calling Amana Living customer service on 1300 26 26 26 or My Aged Care on 1800 200 422.
