The comfort of community

Gaye Clayton and Steve Kitchen were total strangers until three years ago when they moved into Amana Living Meadow Springs Village within one week of each other. Now they’re firm friends, a bond that was cemented by an unfortunate accident about a year ago.

Steve explains, “Gaye fell over and broke her wrist but her family wasn't available to take her to the hospital so I took her to Peel Health Campus and also specialist appointments in Rockingham.”

Amana Living nurse wins top State award

Amana Living nurse Susan (Sue) Pettigrew has won the ‘Excellence in Primary, Public and Community Care” category at the 2018 Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards, announced on 12th May.

Sue is the clinical lead nursing and care in Amana Living’s home care division which supports older people to live independently at home.  She received the award for her ongoing commitment to community care.

Amana Living launches harp therapy

A unique project to introduce harp therapy into Perth residential aged care centres has been launched by Amana Living.

Based on residents’ positive response to the bedside harp performances during the 2018 Amana Living Arts Festival, the organisation has decided to introduce harp therapy on a regular basis.

The eight-week project has started at Moline Care Centre and involves group and one-to-one Reverie Harp sessions delivered by volunteers.  The Reverie Harp was chosen because it’s a small instrument which can be played by anyone regardless of their musical background.

Mandurah lifestyle with all the convenience

If you love the Mandurah lifestyle and want to retire to a vibrant community which offers convenience and security, Amana Living Meadow Springs Village is for you.

This beautiful village is located just minutes from Mandurah city centre and offers a resort lifestyle all year round.

The village consists of beautifully appointed two and three-bedroom villas and apartments which offer generous living areas, undercover parking and your own private balcony or courtyard.
