Leaving a legacy of love and care

A bequest to Amana Living is a meaningful way to make a lasting impact on the lives and wellbeing of our elderly residents and clients. By supporting Amana Living, you will be helping your loved ones, friends, and neighbours – now and in the future.

You may also leave a bequest to honour the memory of a loved one who we have had the privilege to have in our care.

In making a gift in your Will in their name, you celebrate their life and legacy whilst also supporting the care services and team who supported them.

How to leave your legacy

It is easy to make a bequest to Amana Living and join those before you who have already made an impact on our residents. You can either include a gift in your Will or add a gift as a codicil to your existing Will.

It is important to talk to your loved ones about your intentions and let them know why leaving a legacy to Amana Living is important to you. You should seek professional advice from a legal adviser to ensure your wishes are recorded in a legally binding way. This will help to ensure we can carry out your wishes.

There are several ways you can make a bequest to Amana Living:

  • A residual gift which is a share of your entire estate – once you have provided for family and friends;
  • A specified sum of cash;
  • A gift of real estate, stocks, bonds, shares, artwork, jewellery etc.

Our recommended wording for your Will:

“I give to Amana Living Anglican Foundation Incorporated, ABN 14812920499 free of all duties:

  1. All of my residuary estate (OR)
  2. _____ % percentage of my residuary estate (OR)
  3. The sum of $ _____ (OR)
  4. [List of assets]

to be applied for the purposes of provision of aged care services by Amana Living OR for the purpose of [specifiy your area/service of choice]. I declare that the receipt of any Director of Amana Living or other authorised officer will be a sufficient discharge to my executors.”

Amana Living Anglican Foundation Incorporated is registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission and a Public Benevolent Institution.
