Linda - Sustainability Coordinator

Before commencing with Amana Living, I worked for a wholesale chemist and then a retail chemist who had a chain of 12 stores and needed help in the office.  I then migrated to Australia (14 years ago) and worked for 5 months at Direct Engineering in Subiaco.  Several months later, the employment agency that had my details contacted me about a position available at Anglican Homes (our former name).  I have been here for the past 13 years.

I am currently employed as the Sustainability Coordinator/Purchasing Officer working out of the Corporate Office. The role I was interviewed for sounded perfect and the person who interviewed me appeared to be very caring & interested in the organisation and it's staff.  What I enjoy most about my job is meeting staff from our various Service Locations and the new & exciting opportunities that have opened up since the inception of the   ECO-T (Environmentally Conscious Organisation Team) and The Matrix, a valuable vehicle for testing new initiatives and floating ideas.

THe highlights of my time with Amana Living would be when our current CEO came on board and the recent move to our new offices in Subiaco. I have seen many changes within the organisation but the one remaining constant is the care given to all of our residents. It doesn't matter what is happening at the Corporate Office, we all know that the residents come first.
