I commenced work with Amana Living 20 years ago at the Sundowner Hostel in administration. The place was a real hub of activity, with a full house of residents who were very mobile and used all the facilities such as the doctor's surgery, hairdresser, pool tables and the coffee shop. My office was open all day as residents did their banking there. I spent 8 years in the role and became very close to the residents and made life long friends with a number of staff. We had a lot of laughs!
I am once again working in the Corporate Office, which has recently relocated to Subiaco. I still meet up with one or two residents from way back then. I love Amana Living as it has evolved into a very forward thinking organisation which allows staff to grow in their roles and further their education.
