Amana Living has scooped a national industry award for excellence a this year's hotly contested aged care national conference.
The Aged and Community Services of Australia (ACSA) National Excellence Award in the Organisation category was bestowed on the WA-based organisation, essentially recognising it as the best not-for-profit aged care provider in Australia.
Amana Living also reached the national finals in the media award category for its proactive and sustained media coverage, which seeks to raise awareness and understanding in the community for its work undertaken in the aged sector.
During the award ceremony, Amana Living was particularily recognised for its emphasis on innovation, training and customer service, as well as its commitment to the environment. It was awarded the Organisation Excellence Award at ACSA's award dinner in Perth on 14 September 2009.
