A newly created role which is thought to be the first of its kind in Australia will be a one-stop-shop in providing support to the growing number of Western Australians living with dementia.
The initiative spearheaded by Amana Living and funded by the McCusker Charitable Foundation will see the first ever McCusker Nurse begin her role from 21 June 2011.
The McCusker Nurse will assist carers and the person living with dementia to navigate through the available service options and programs which may best suit their needs.
